PB BSc Nursing

BSc Nursing (Post Basic) is a 2 years undergraduate course that is designed to enhance the nursing skills of professionals who already have a background in nursing or a similar field. It provides an advanced level of knowledge related to medical care. The basic eligibility criteria required to pursue the course include candidates having cleared their 10+2 board exams along with a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and having a registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM). The difference between BSc Nursing Post-basic and MSc Nursing is that one is an undergraduate course and another is a postgraduate degree.
The admission process includes students’ performance in the written entrance exam conducted at the university/college level. But in colleges like Chitkara University, admission is provided based on merit. Admission to AIIMS for BSc Nursing Post Basic takes place through their own Entrance Exam.
